--“One Degree Asia 2007” has been rescheduled to take place in July 2008--

One Degree Asia festival 2007 originally scheduled to begin from the 4th to the 8th of July, has been postponed to July 2008. Instead, on the 8th of July 2007, we will witness the launch of a brand new One Degree website, a dynamic website to encourage changemakers throughout Asia to connect, influence and proliferate the One Degree movement.

As we move forward from 2006’s focus on inspiring youth changemakers to believe in small change, big difference; the One Degree movement heads towards the action domain. With this postponement, we are challenging potential delegates to take advantage of the additional time to raise more funds, start social entrepreneurship projects and create a stronger impact in their immediate environment.

The culmination of a year’s hard work would be One Degree Asia 2008. We will re-convene in Singapore to celebrate the fruits of our labour. We will showcase the in-roads made in different projects, and exchange ideas and plans to co-create the future we seek.

On behalf of the One Degree team, I would like to thank everyone for the interest in One Degree Asia 2007. I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused, my team and I share in your disappointment that One Degree Asia will not take place this year. But we move on.

I warmly invite you to continue to share your inputs and dreams with us, as I look forward in seeing you in our celebration of One Degree Asia 2008.
